This self-initiated cover redesign for Emma Donoghue’s Kissing the Witch responds to the book’s feminist reimagining of familiar fairy tales. I combined a theatrical central figure, animal symbolism, and elongated display typography to convey transformation, danger, and the shifting identities at the heart of the collection. I created the concept, illustration, typography, and final cover composition.
