Shiyao Yin is an illustrator whose work explores the intersection of ornamentation and narrative.

Her practice is rooted in decorative storytelling, drawing inspiration from fairy tales, botanical forms, and symbolic imagery. Through layered compositions and intricate visual language, she aims to expand how illustration can carry meaning beyond text.

Her work has been recognized by the 3×3 International Illustration Awards and the Dots & Circles Red Circle Award, and she has contributed cover illustrations to publications such as Haha Huabao.

Currently, she is developing projects across book illustration and textile-based practices, continuing her research on decoration as a narrative device.
